Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal information BrightSpark Electrical Services receives through enquiries, why it is used and the choices you have.
Who is responsible for your information?
BrightSpark Electrical Services is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. For privacy questions, email info@brightsparkelectricalservices.co.uk or call 07934 858746.
What information may be collected?
If you call, email or send a WhatsApp message, BrightSpark may receive your name, contact details, postcode or job location, details of the work or fault, photos or videos you choose to send, and the history of the conversation.
The website enquiry boxes prepare a message on your device and then open WhatsApp. The website does not submit those entries to a BrightSpark website database. You can review or change the message before sending it.
Why is it used?
- To answer questions, assess the likely work and provide a quotation.
- To arrange and deliver electrical services requested by you.
- To keep appropriate business, safety, accounting and legal records.
- To protect the business and customers from misuse, disputes or fraud.
The legal bases are usually taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, meeting legal obligations, and BrightSpark's legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running a safe, accountable business.
Who may receive it?
Information is shared only where reasonably needed with communication, website or other service providers, professional advisers, insurers, regulators or authorities. BrightSpark does not sell personal information. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and email providers process messages under their own privacy terms.
How long is it kept?
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry or service and for applicable accounting, insurance, safety and legal requirements. The period varies with the nature of the contact and whether work goes ahead. You can ask about the period that applies to your information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer, or object to certain use. You can contact BrightSpark using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
